Lodgers and House Insurance |
| One response I read to the comments was quite shocking!
Someone was being encouraged to lie to an insurance company. Always declare all information to your insurers - any changes in your household. Having a lodger can bring in some much needed money but if you don't vet them carefully and don't make sure your insurance covers you then you're putting a lot at risk. |
I've been reading about someone who's got a lodger and has informed their insurance company who will no longer insure them!Another person was suprised the company that would insure them wouldn't insure them against theft without being broken into. Insurance companies suggested to try for home insurance when you have a lodger include tesco premium and endsleigh I'm not surprised they won't ensure you from theft from someone that
you volunatarily let in your house.
